Why and how did you get into poly?

I really can't say I've always been polyamorous or had poly feelings. When I married my wife I really expected that to be 'it' for the rest of our lifes (or untill something would happen like growing apart, cheating, etc). Very monogamous-indoctrinated thinking I guess. I didn't know any better...

Confused, but happy - long read ahead!

I'm reading Opening Up right now, it's a good book. Bit generic but nice to review some of the foundation of all this non monogamous stuff. And it does a great job at explaining all the various kinds of it. I've temporarily stopped reading More Than Two, waiting for a hard copy, intensive...

Confused, but happy - long read ahead!

Greetings, little update time: all good here. We had a lot of family time this week, my wife and I went to the theatre this week which was fun, we had a little quality time with our kid and we really enjoyed that. The wife still didn't run of screaming so I'm guessing that's good as well ;)...

Aren't most people poly, but in denial?

Isn't this really like saying 'all woman are bi' and secretly hoping so?

    Polyamory in television shows

Kdt, I've read The Lonely Polygamist by Udall on the subject. Nice little novel, can really recommend!

    Polyamory in television shows

Isn't Big Love more about polygamy than polyamory? (not that that's a bad thing per se of course).

Confused, but happy - long read ahead!

Leander, not to thrash your party or anything, but I'd be very weary of sea-changes. If my wife, who was crying the one night, be all happy and in favor of poly one day later, I'd be very, very cautious. Just my 2 cents I guess (which probably belong in your own topic). Not that I don't wish you...

Confused, but happy - long read ahead!

First of all, thanks for the kind words and greetings. "Talking" about "it" (with other people than those romantically involved of course) feels like a big and important step. Kevin (kdt26417), I already started in More Than Two. It's a tough read sometimes, but very insightful. Helps me label...

    Guys who shave... down there

I shave regularly because my wife and I started swinging and it's much appreciated in that scene and it kind of stuck. My girlfriend likes it shaved very much so it's not much of a problem. Before the whole swinging thing I did it every once in a while. We visit spa's every now and then and it...

    Polyamory in television shows

It was my first view into this life, except for reading some stuff on websites and ebooks. Now I've read some more, and given some more tought to a variety of poly-subjects, I understand all of your concerns, but for me personally it was a game change. It finally showed me that I am not crazy...

Confused, but happy - long read ahead!

Well HI there. I don't where to start (or end) exactly but I have this tremendous urge to write something about what I recently discovered & acknowleged about myself. I'm a married guy, 35-ish years of age, living somewhere in Europe (excuse me for keeping it vague) who has been together with...
