Ive always thought there was somethimg wrong with me, i have never been able to just settle down with one partner. I enjoy more then pair of eyes giving me attention. Anybody else feel that way?

(But I am a bit of an exhibitionist...)
Lucky for me, my childhood reading (yup, Heinlein) led me to identify as poly before I knew the word. It made so much sense to me from the getgo that I wondered what was wrong with other people, that they didn't see things my way. Not that I have ever given much credence to what other people think (To quote Brian Smith in Heinlein's To Sail Beyond the Sunset: "‘If a thousand men believe something and believe otherwise, then it's a thousand to one that they are wrong".
I think it is a lot harder for people to break free of pre-conceived "correct" modes of relating when they aren't aware that they have an option until they have, essentially, made their choice (i.e. expectations of "escalator relationships" and marital fidelity).
