Hi everyone!! All my consensual non-monogamous friends, please help contribute to important research by doing my survey! It’s for research on women in monogamous and in non-monogamous relationships and their relationship satisfaction as well as perceptions and experiences of stigma. My research is aimed towards reducing stigma and unfair misconceptions about people in consensual non-monogamous relationships.
I would really love and appreciate any contributions!
Please share this with anyone who might be interested! Thank you!!

Research affiliation is Hawaii Pacific University. It’s for my capstone project as a Psychology Bachelor student. It has been reviewed and approved by the IRB (institutional review board) as it states on the the flyer. If you pass the initial qualification questions you have to sign informed consent which has all the ethics information listed.

Thanks for clarifying that now. The flyer attachment isn't showing as an image, obviously, so I'm glad you have now stated it in an easy to access format.

Hello linagrim99,

I am cis male, and as such am not qualified to take the survey. However, I want to wish you well in conducting your research, and I hope it will reduce stigma and unfair misconceptions about people in CNM relationships.

Sincerely,
Kevin T.

I could tell this was written by a young person: the final age is 55+ & most of all the longest time in a relationship is 5+ years. For me, 5 years was about 36 years ago with one spouse & 31 with the other, & there definitely are big differences between then & now. Also, the questions assumed one major partner, so I answered based on an average of the two.

What made this difficult is it’s about polyamory, but asks about one relationship. Poly people usually have more than one partner with different answers for each, so we had to choose only one partner to answer questions about. It’s your capstone though, so you’ll get what you need from it.

What bothers me about this survey, without even clicking on the link, is that the title of this thread refers to "polygamy," not polyamory. Polygamy means being married to more than one person. (Gamos is a Greek word meaning marriage.) Polygamy is illegal in Western cultures. Polyamory (loving more than one) is not illegal.

So many surveys make this error! There was a longitudinal one that I did that actually navigated this effectively. I should see if I can find any published papers from them.

I'm too old for this survey, which is probably for the best, I'd get annoyed with only being able to answer about one person.
