Looking forward to making new connections here, and building some community.
I am a Solo-Poly Cis-Male.
I live in a relatively barren area in regards to being able to easily find ENM/Poly friendly people, so I am really hoping to make some connections here.
I am an Old Hippie turned Geek. (I'm an Engineer & Stuff.) I am pretty much a textbook case ISTJ-T (Personality-ref) ... I am also a fairly typical Leo (Leo-ref). (Except that I am a bit more on the introverted side, a very typical engineering type for sure.)
Feel I have been Poly/ENM at least since I was 20 y/o (1980). Really started diving into ENM around Y2K. Around 2010 hit a major threshold. By 2015 was identifying as Poly.
Yes, it has been a really long trip... and I can see that I have a long way yet to go. But I like that really. The opportunity to learn & grow... to be challenged intellectually, and in a manner of critical thinking.
Not real big into Kink, but keep stumbling onto references to it in stories I hear, so starting to get a bit curious about all that. Right now I know just enough to know that it all appears quite complicated. However, I have had a bit of a V&E Fetish (Voyeur+Exhibitionist) for about as far back as I can remember.
I like Stories. Both listening & telling. (I really like Movies too.)
I grew up in a very liberal setting, and that set the stage for the rest of my life. I reckon I was quite fortunate in that regard. Since diving deep into ENM I have been pleased with the changes in my view on many things. It has been quite the opening up... of my mind.
I've had a few health setbacks (inevitable as you age), but am fairly fit and take pretty good care of myself. I've been slowly gravitating towards a plant-based diet in recent years. Not 100% there, but pretty far along.
