Hi! Most of my friends and acquaintances call me Lemon. I'm in the Bay area and fairly new to polyamory (09/23 is when I first began exploring)
I'm reading The Ethical Slut, doing independent research on the subject online and reading through posts and forums on various community based platforms, which has been quite enlightening.
I recently discovered the relationship autonomy index in an article and where I feel I best fit into that is RAI 4- Non-heirerarchal Polyamory (defined as: unmonitored communication based non-monogamy with permanent relationships, no secondaries)
I'm currently in one polyam relationship, and open to others; though until I'm more fluent and familiar in the language and practices of ethical non-monogamy I've decided I'm not going to actively seek an additional partnership at this time (this has no bearing on casual sex, or non permanent relationships, just on my adding an additional partner/permanent relationship to the mix) as I don't want to overwhelm myself while transitioning into a new way of having romantic interpersonal relationships, as there are lots of things to navigate and process and learn that inherently come along with that, and I don't want to add to much to the mix while I'm still new and making mistakes.
I'm excited to continue to learn and explore and I hope to meet and communicate with like minded and not so like minded individuals to broaden my perspective and approach to relationships!
