PNW Couple Seeking Poly & LGBTQ+ Friendly Person to Join Our Family

We’re a married couple living in the Pacific Northwest looking for a poly and LGBTQ+ friendly person to join our small family—someone to ride out the upcoming zombie apocalypse with.

About Us:

• Husband: 62-year-old straight software developer.
• Wife: 56-year-old bisexual part-time artist and former female dominant.
• Son: 22-year-old studying cybersecurity at an online university, currently living at home.

We have two cats, a small dog, and a bird, so we need someone who is allergy-free or can manage allergies. Some things we like: Friday art walks, day trips, healthy/vegan cooking and restaurants, watching documentaries, suspense thrillers, and art house movies, ferry rides to new places, neighborhood walks, cuddling, board games (husband), weird fashion (wife), and gardening (though we’re clueless).

What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking someone interested in a live-in roommate/family member arrangement. We’ve enjoyed various poly relationships over the years, including a few live-in relationships, and we’ve been married for 25 years.

Our Home:
We live in a four-bedroom, two-bathroom craftsman house within walking distance of the ferry to Seattle. The housemate would pay monthly rent for their own furnished bedroom and cover their portion of the family’s monthly expenses. We’re open to discussing terms and conditions as we’ve never put out a poly ad like this before.

About Our Lifestyle:

• We’re homebodies who love spending time in local parks and enjoying the beauty of the PNW.
• We have a greenhouse, a budget hot tub, and a fire table in our backyard where we enjoy the night sky.
• The wife has health issues and chronic pain, which sometimes restrict her mobility.
• We’re not active in the poly scene anymore but are open to forming meaningful friendships and connections.

We want a no-pressure situation where we can become friends without the expectation of a more-than-friends relationship. We’re not closed off to that, but we don’t want it to be the primary reason for this connection. However, we hope this person will become a family member. The husband has a stable job, but we’re concerned about the future and want to build a supportive community as our son plans to leave the nest next year. We wonder if there’s someone out there looking for or needing a similar situation, someone who’s currently alone and ultimately wants to have a small family.

Expectations:
Gender doesn’t matter. The desire and willingness to be a meaningful connection in this tiny tribe does.

• Help with household chores, like any other roommate.
• Hopefully share similar political views and interests and wish to enjoy family activities (perhaps even holidays, etc.) together.
• Be there through the good and the bad as part of our family.

If this sounds like you, send us a message. We’d love to hear from you.
