Wow, been a while. Put my status as "open relationship" on Facebook, and I've been chatting to a few people on OKC. One of them has a bit of potential, I think.

I saw Maleficent the other day. Quite an interesting take on the Sleeping Beauty story. I'd recommend that you see the original Sleeping Beauty first, and view it as a distorted version of the story, then see Maleficent to see how it really went.

Well, by "romance", I take it as the Mills and Boon sort of stuff. I am not going to write something like that. In any case, getting back to the original topic, does anyone have any interesting stories or situations that could be used?

Not as a romance novel would have. I'm more interested in the interpersonal relationships than the steamy sex scenes.

Had the meet up with foxy today. Went into town and walked around and I bought her lunch. We had a good time, and we got on well, but there was, alas, no sparkage. Going to stay friends though.

I wouldn't want to write it as a romance. I;ve never read one, and would have no idea. More of a contemporary fiction thing.

I was thinking about the protagonist being a woman, maybe following her over a few years as she goes through university or something and forms a relationship with a guy. And then when she meets someone else (either male or female) and falls in love with them as well, I could start developing...
