What did you do today that made you smile?

Drove out a few hours to watch a pair of wonderful friends get married. Was a good time to be had by all.

I know a lot of people in that situation. They need to hide their relationships because their jobs have "indecency" clauses in the hiring contracts, and most don't recognize the validity of a poly style relationship set. They see it as something dirty and disgusting (although deep down I wonder...

    Top Ten List

I knew for years that my wife was bisexual, long before she admitted it to herself or we really figured out we where poly. I encouraged her to explore that side of her sexuality because I knew she'd never be able to be happy otherwise. And besides, as I put it: "Look, darling, you are craving...

Meh. Just found out that BrigidsDaughter's car is going to cost 1K more then we thought because the engine cradle is half rusted out. We don't have that kind of money and won't for a few months, so it looks like we're down to one car and a whole lotta stress again until this issue gets fixed...

And you say I'm the big kid! On that note, I went with BrigidsDaughter to get out son from camp. I missed the little guy.

I like kittehs. Mine got into a fight with a cat trying to get into our basement. She apparently stood guard at the window with the screen popped half way out making sure nothing got in most of the night. Was rather cute. I love my cat. I have a life long commitment to that animal.

tl;dr What the shit, Kaos? O.o Did you actually write that? My mind got lost in the gibberish about 1/8th the way in.

BrigidsDaughter and I are like that at times. We'll bicker, fight, and be told by people that we remind them of a couple who's been married for 50 years. Usually what happens is we'll fight and bicker, and then later discuss what was said in a more reasonable manner. I figure if you can't let...

Protip: When you see a quote with a little arrow next to it, that arrow is a link to the relevant post. I now return you to your regularly scheduled debate of sorts. *goes back to munching popcorn*

And salt potatoes, apples of all kinds and sizes, and snow. ;) As for myself? We're getting rain here finally. I stood in it for a good long while and let it pour over me. I feel so much better now, like a whole lot of emotional and mental sludge has been cleared off. Not as content as I want...

Can't say i'm doing bad, per say. Introspective perhaps? With a dash of frustrated and melancholy on the side. I've been taking a long, hard look at my life over today and the situation I find myself in. I need to change things. I know what I need to change and what I want to do. It's just...

What did you do today that made you smile?

Moved my computer into the basement where it's about 20 degrees cooler at least, as well as set up some cots so we can sleep away from the heat. Best. Idea. Yet.

Dying. I'm dying one moment at a time, baked to death in this oppressive heat dome that has the US trapped. It wouldn't be so bad if we had a wind...or even a breeze. AC would be nice as well. >.< But other then that, I'm okay I suppose. A little stressed by money, or lack there of, and trying...

On the lighterside...The 'Things I never thought I would say...'

I was in the ER a few days ago due to, ahem, problems with my male parts (no infection or torsion, thankfully). So BrigidsDaughter and I are sitting in the exam room and have the following conversation: Me: You know, with what's going on tonight, we probably should call Wendigo. Her: ...why...

Ow. Due to some good luck on my part at work, I've managed to wrangle more hours. Upside is more money for me and everyone else involved wins as well. Downside is that I'll be putting in a lot of work and busting my tail a whole lot. So while I hurt and am out of energy, we've got food on the...

mental illness in the poly community

And this is why I'm open about being bi-polar. I dislike lying and a lie by ommision is one. If you are going to get involved with someone, you should always be up front about situations that might arise during it, and trust me, it will come up.

What did you do today that made you smile?

Broke out in spontaneous song and dance in my Jeep when "Feel Good INC." came on the radio. No one was watching, but it made me smile. Sometimes it's the small things.

mental illness in the poly community

I almost feel obligated to put in my two cents here, as both someone living poly and as someone with bipolar disorder. Now, among our friends I am both openly poly (I don't really advertise, but I don't hide anything either)' and openly bipolar. That said, of all the people I know, I have a...

Finished watching Gurran Lagann. So over the top, so good. I was grinning like an idiot at the end.
