Talking to parents about the polyamory lifestyle

My mom knows, my dad suspects. Most of my extended family knows. My parents are Unitarian hippies, so really as long as I am happy they don't care. My 14 years old cousin did a report on my relationship for her health class, which I thought was pretty badass.

How did you meet your most recent partner?

I met my boyfriend through a coworker friend, who brought me in as a third and then split. Our girlfriend we met online. I usually start out as being friends with my partners, it helps that my social circle is a pretty hedonistic bunch.

    Two People, One Username

My partner doesn't post on this forum, but when we first started dating, we joined a number of sites as a couple. I think for some couples just getting started in poly, it is scary to think externally from their relationship. I think most couples who succeed in being poly for an extended period...

    "Everyone Deserves A Second Chance"

I am all for 2nd chances, depending on the circumstances. But most of the people I have been involved with who require a 2nd chance will eventually require 3rd and 4th chances, so I have had to learn that sometimes, it is better to just walk away.

    'Allo

Hi, new to the forum. I am 26, live in the PNW. I am in an amazing triad with my primary, who I live with, and our girlfriend, who spends 3 nights a week with us. I have been with my primary for about 9 months, I actually entered the relationship as a "unicorn" (a single woman looking to be part...
