Just watched QI which is a comedy panel show starring Stephen Fry and this week's topic is Germany and he mentioned Godwin's Law.

and I searched and found this post... where indeed a comparison to Hitler has been made which seems to have ended the thread... albeit unintentionally.

Just amused me greatly.

Yup, it happens quite often. There is more than one post that have been "Godwined" on this very forum.
