Hi. You can call me Louisiana. I am typing this hastily during a brief respite at work on my tablet, so it will be a short introduction. I miss having a blog somewhere on the Internet.
I am 25 years old and female, living on the outskirts of a Midwestern city, in a one-bedroom apartment with Lancaster, my female 24yo partner of three years, and Ypsilanti, my male 28yo partner of nine months. We form a triad together. My relationship with Lancaster is more best friends than anything at this point, with little in e way romance and sex. I would like to change that, but with scheduling it's not in the cards at this time. We haven't had sex since January. Ypsilanti is my Elfen lover and other best friend. The connection we have is ridiculous considering the short time we have been together.
Ypsilanti has lived with us for seven months now. He is married to Anchorage, who seven months ago decided that she wanted a divorce. She has since changed her mind, but would like to primarily focus on coparenting Endor, their 3yo child, as best friends, with no emphasis on sex or romance. This is a compromise Yosilanti is not particularly happy with, but he is willing to do what he can to keep the relationship continuing even if it's not what he envisioned. Eventually he will be moving to be with them again, and soon thereafter the plan is for all of us to find a house to live in togther. I believe Anchorage is monogamous and suggested opening their relationship to try to save it, and/or for one or both of them to find other lovers to comfort them while going through their divorce, but nothing went the way she planned. I think they will eventually resume a romantic relationship, but it will not be as emotionally entangled. We will see.
In this I've learned that i cannot do hierarchical polyamory. I can allow things to develop at their own pace, and some relationships will always be casual with everyone fulfilled, but I can't live with permanently closed doors.
