Hello everyone,
Truthfully I've never really fancied writing a blog before, but considering the newness of this journey we are taking I can't find a better reason than this to start one. I'm AmethystSparrow, a 31 year old creative woman who is easily considered to be docile, laid back, quiet and content to craft and take care of little ones while enjoying a happy household. Snarky is my legally married husband of 11 years, he's a 35 year old man with a thirst for adventure, shenanigans and overall a huge jokester, he really is the life of the party and easily outgoing while having a sharp analytical mind, hence why it would make sense he is double majoring in Environmental science and Biology in hopes of getting a PHD in Astrobiology. He's always been a bit of a space nut
We both have a lively and sassy 2 year old daughter together, as do we a son..but due to a tragic accident he is now taking care of his grandfather in the spirit side of our world, bless his sweet little heart. We've had a lot of large ups and downs in our lives, but we've carried on and have blazed our way through each of them, some with everlasting emotional scars but we're so close and a strong family because of them. Then there is our partner Sunshine, a vibrant and spunky 30 year old who is just as lively and hilarious as Snarky, the two are so alike I often call them " double trouble" because of their tendencies to scheme shenanigans across the board. Sunshine is a Desert Biologist and is a wonderful partner to both Snarky and I, we've had our recent growing pains and even a huge alarm with Snarky's parents not taking our coming out well, but that's for another story another day. We've known Sunshine for 3 years and even when we were just friends there was just something deeper in our relationship as friends than I had ever experienced with any of my other besties, it grew and flourished and she was the one rock I had that didn't abandon me when my son passed and has been ever since. Sure, being new to poly has its challenges, but despite the small, petty upsets we are doing very well and are striving to work everything out as cleanly and neatly as one can. We're all generally happy ( when things are not catching us off guard back to back as they have recently) and it feels right. We're what you would call a Triad, different from a V but similar, we are all partners to one another and we intend to operate as a family unit with as much equality as the next, so far we're doing well despite a few bumps in the road. I look forward to updating this now and again with adventures and shenanigans of poly, and likely some not since I am after all a crafter and a mom, I'm sure they will creep in here at some point too
