Hi all, new here. I am in a Poly relationship w/ my GF and am married to an amazing man. I am bisexual. The 3 of us are all "together" in a sense, and very very happy! I read the book "Open" by jenny block, and since then my life has changed.

Anyhow - the 3 of us want to go on a vacation together, but someplace we are accepted and can be "open" ...

We are going in August... and considering driving max of 5 hours from NY. Any suggestion??

We are considering Provincetown, MA but its hard to find availability, and my husband is not bi/gay, and it seems there is more gay males there then females. (but correct me if i am wrong?)

Thx for any advice!!!

Hey girl! My family has the same kind of relationship that you and your family does! :)

We are debating vacations next year also. I want to go on a cruise.........but don't know if they allow more than 2 in a cabin! LOL! But surley they do being that people do have kids and all. :)

I hope you find a place that is great!

I would say that you should go wherever you guys want to go. If people don't like seeing the three of you together they can always turn their heads. That's how I feel about it.

I'm going to be proud to have our GF on both of our arms. And I refuse to let snide looks take that away from any of the 3 of us.

Try Burlington, Vermont if you want to be near a city with open-minded people yet still go toward the rural, country experience. It's usually possible to find rooms or campsites at the last minute during that time of year because it's considered "off-season", but I still recommend making reservations if you want to get the kind of accommodations you prefer. There are many festivals and art-gallery type events going on up there, and lots of decent-to-excellent, yet not very expensive restaurants.

If you don't want to drive all the way to the top of VT, try Brattleboro or Bennington. Again, the same caveat applies to reserving accommodations, but these towns are less "metropolitan" than Burlington but lean more toward the "quaint New-England town" kind of setting. You can find lots of museums (Robert Frost House and Ethan Allen come to mind immediately but there are others), swimming holes, farmers' markets, and good restaurants in this area too.

Should you decide to do this, you must stop in Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, on Rt. 112 off the Mohawk Trail (google "Shelburne Falls potholes"). PM me if you want more specifics.

Hi all, its been a while but just want to update in the event anyone is trying to get some ideas for summer vaca or even just to think about something warm during this seemingly endless northeastern winter.

We did end up going away, and we went to P-Town (and cape cod) for one vaca, which was fabulous! P-town was AWESOME. We also went on a cruise, and we had 3 in the cabin, again, AWESOME times! We certainly spiced things up at the night club, haha, on a few occasions. And, my GF and I had a fantastic time as well up in the Berkshires, MA area in the summer, we booked a really inexpensive timeshare off season, and it was again, "AWESOME" (big surprise right?). haha. All in all it was a fantastic summer. ;)

I love Shelburne Falls. Lovely small town. Have stopped there on the way to Maine and NH from NYC, it's very nice for a short visit. Don't think there's much to do for longer visits, though.

Besides the glacial potholes, there's the Bridge of Flowers. I attended a women's herbal conference in Shelburne Falls once, but I don't think they hold it there anymore. One of the people involved owned a Christmas tree farm there which lets you go in a truck with a shovel and dig up your own tree, keeping roots intact, and then you replant it after Christmas. Don't know if they still do that.
