A double standard for men and women?

Since abuse is not a topic that is specific to poly relationships, this thread is being moved to the Fireplace.

    List on how to communicate

Yeah, I own a copy of "Science and Sanity" but I just use it for reference. There are other books that EXPLAIN Korzybski's concepts much better. ONe of them is Quantum Psychology by Robert Anton Wilson. Another is How Real Is Real by Paul Watzsalwick (HRIR doesn't only talk about GS/E-prime...

A double standard for men and women?

Because trolls don't think things through like that, they just say what they need to say in order to get folks riled up. :)

    Turnabout

and this passive-aggressive double-talk about how he'll "still stay married to you for as long as you'll have him". I'm glad I'm me and not you. I don't have the shit for this patience.

    Married Couple with Girlfriend

Ya, and remember this isn't a trial or an inquisition. You are supposedly three people who care for and want the best for each other. There is no use for fear here.

    Wasting My Time..

If it makes you feel any better, i've been turned down by men who "don't believe in" non- monogamy, but i still feel good about myself. Even if you were to start a second relationship there is no guarantee it would work out, for reasons that have nothing to do with non-monogamy. So take it easy...

    paradise lost?

Instead of sitting at home feeling butt-hurt, go do something to better yourself. Treat yourself good. Your feelings of loss and inadequacy come from not taking proper caee of yourself and from subjugating your primary relationship (with yourself) to this "perfect" fantasy. Good luck to you!

Poly --What?! There's a name for this?!

My advice to couples seeking a "third" is still the same: Try dropping the "we, we, we" and start using more "I, you, me". Wow. I rhyme again.

    Polyamory Dating Nerves

Indeed, you're going to have to get to the bottom of what exactly it means "weird feelings". As for your wanting to know how it goes for other people - I think it's good that you might have your first "poly experience" with someone you already know. Although it is my first "poly" relationship...

    HELP! delete meeeeeeeeee !!!

Riiiight. But you can "edit" it to be anything you want, including gibberish or just a dot or dash. So, you CAN "delete-edit" your post, then report it to the moderators, request that we delete it for you, within the 12 hour window, and it's all good. Why oh why do people like to complicate...

No, not "really". But "maybe". And you just DID say the opposite. Go you.

Unicorns & Unicorn Hunters - Merged Threads, General Discussion

A Unicorn has to be in a CLOSED (polyfidelitous) triad with the pre-existing couple. Your girlfriend is not a unicorn by definition.

Confused! 2 exes, long distance, BDSM, sort of triad

It sounds like you're SOL and you'll never get what you need from these relationships. Forget about them and move on with your life. Find someone closer to where you live.

How Do I Stop this Unhealthy Behavior?

Do you have a lot of extra time on your hands? If you do, you should join a roller derby league. That will fix you.

    A new adventure

I was gonna say something similar. People who want to move in with you or run away with you after two dates usually have um, "issues" in the head and elsewhere. and it's "gypsies" not "gypsy's" the way you used it.
