Jealousy, Envy, Insecurity, etc.: Merged Threads, General Discussion

Thank you, jkelly. What you say in your post seems very sensible. I've been an actor for forty years and emotions were part of my stock in trade. For them to be so I had to get in touch with them. Jealousy is a nasty one, though, and a dramatic one but not in any good sense. Seems like maybe...

Jealousy, Envy, Insecurity, etc.: Merged Threads, General Discussion

Dealing with jealousy I'm almost certain this is not a new question at this site. Hope I don't exasperate anyone with old ground. Seems to me that any adult with an erotic relationship with more than one other has to deal with jealousy sooner or later, no matter how grown up everyone is. There...

Morning, MonoVCPHG. I figure you're a busy guy, don't want to waste your time. I have a small question of definition here. You senior site members, as you define polyamory generally speaking, does it mean three or more people cohabiting and or in the same bed together? At the same time? Or could...

    Tats & Piercings?

Oh! Very practical, I like the idea. I also love smart-ass people, come and sit next to me. :)

    Tats & Piercings?

Well, it looks OK, Mono. I have a life too busy to work out a symbol, so far.

    Tats & Piercings?

I don't have any tats or anything but a pattern of freckles that form the first three bars of "The Long and Winding Road." But I have thought a great deal about what I would get if I were brave enough to get a tattoo. Can't decide. It's the sort of thing you have to decide yourself, isn't it?

    Poly = hippie?

I'm sort of a hippy, have known hippies, can't say it's exactly the same thing as polyamory. The hard line genuine hippies lived communally, sought to separate themselves and drop out from society, grew their own food, tried to make their own sense out of life and free themselves from all...

Many thanks for your invitation. I like Florida quite a lot, but have a life and community here in Missouri. You are very generous, and I hope to encounter your posts at the site.

    Touch

I used to know people in Los Angeles who hugged a lot. It's definitely not a custom in Missouri, which I think is too bad.

Dilemma of the heart, of course

I've always believed in the risks a person should take for love. I also say go for it, EugenePoet. I think your heart is feeling out the right way and to go that way. As to whether it will last, maybe it won't. No guarantees there for anyone. No one should let that stop them. Maybe it will...

    Polyamory and Christianity

I feel like there are many parts of the Bible that age well and are really great. Inspired by God? Perhaps. Much of it has to do with love relationships. I especially like the evidence that God is a neuter gender AND can be thought of as female, 'cause I relate well to an opposite sex God.

    Poetry / Poems

And what shall we sing of love? Shall we sing its praises from above? Shall we champion that old cause of pain One more time? What do we gain? When that greatest woman walks toward us We lose breath but so much it afford us We cry tears in our heart from the aching From the want - there inside...

    Polyamory and Christianity

Thanks for your reply, Quath; it was quite objective. Generally speaking, I like that. As far as what a person believes is concerned, the point I'm trying to put out here at the forum is, it has to be what she really believes. If she is clear on what that is. Often we aren't. It isn't...

    Polyamory and Christianity

How do you do, Quath? Pleased to meetcha. Permit me to respond backwards through what you have to say here. It doesn't matter if you're not a Christian, you still get to read the Bible and make out of it anything you feel like making out of it. I also have the Holy Spirit, Who says you get to...
