I’m a Spaniard who has been in a poly relationship for almost 6 years. I was quite young when we first started our relationship – my partner was already married & had a 3 years old daughter when I met both of them – and soon after that we started living together. I’d never heard about poly relationships when we moved and started reading about the topic & other poly relationships around 3-4 years ago, since this type of relationships were almost totally unknown in our country. At the beginning, we tried to explain our situation in a swinger forum – we were already swingers when we met – because we thought it could be a nice start. It seems to have been a bad decision. We were rejected by most of the people in there & told that our relationship was doomed to failure, so we never spoke about our relationship until two years ago. Nowadays, people are more open to understand our love and being poly has somehow become something fashionable, but there are quite a few people with experience in polyamory, so I am happy to have the chance to meet new people and share ideas in this forum.

It sounds like you've had a considerable poly journey, I am sorry about the grief they gave you on the swinger forum. You will probably find more like-minded people here. I'm glad you could join us.
