Happy Thanksgiving! Anyone up making their turkey?

this is my first turkey, I have read a lot online but I wanted to do this on my own. In the past Renee and Mark have always ordered one from a catering company. I just put it in the oven, having coffee and relaxing on a quiet morning.

What's everyone's favorite Thanksgiving dish?

Our turkey is cooking. I love the way my house smells when a turkey is in the oven. My favorite Thanksgiving dish is probably pecan pie. It's so bad for you but so yummy!

On a side note there really should be turkey scented candles. They make pumpkin pie, apple pie, vanilla cupcake....why not turkey.

For me it's sweet potato casserole, I made it with like 3 sticks of butter.

Nope, nate and I are in Chicago for a few days visiting his family. We arr both vegetarian so no turkey for us. I've never been big on holiday food, even before being vegetarian I usually only ate veggies and potatoes

You both ARR vegetarian? I thought pirates primarily ate fish? Though eating a healthy amount of oranges also helps defend against the scurvy matey!
