Hello from a lurker

Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker around here since January & have learned a lot from all of your experiences & advice. I've been married to my wife for 14 years & we've been together for almost 20, but just officially opened up our marriage early last year. Neither of us had ever heard of polyamory until our marriage counselor recommended some books for us, & it really resonated with both of us. Looking bad, we've ben dabbling with non-monogamy almost since the beginning off & on - cuddle parties, a brief stint with swinging, what I now know was pretty much a polyfidelitous relationship with another couple, a few threesomes...so I guess our transition has been a little easier in some respects, but still full of newbie mistakes :). My wife currently has her harem (One local BF, a LDR, & a local mostly emotional BF). I've had a few GFs since opening up, but as I've read here, it's more difficult to find willing female partners that are OK with poly than it is for her to find guys.

In any case, I just wanted to introduce myself & say thanks for all of the incredible information; you folks have really helped without even knowing it.

Greetings 30000feet,
Welcome to our forum (officially ;)).

Your username denotes an altitude just a bit higher than the world's tallest mountains. Don't know if I'm onto something there!

Glad the site's been helpful so far, I really enjoy my time on Polyamory.com overall. Sounds like you and your wife are just exploring the possibilities and figuring out what works for you. Sounds like a good idea to me; we're all newbies as far as I'm concerned.

If you have any questions or whatnot don't hesitate to ask. You can usually get a good number of responses when you start a new thread.

Great to have you with us!
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome, 30000feet!
Your period of figuring it out sounds something like ours. :)
Wishing you all tons of happiness.
(I'm a newbie here, too.)
