Hi

My name is James.

Firstly i'd like to apologise if i have come to the wrong place but i've been looking for something and need some advice.

I've always been interested in being in a relationship with 2 women. To clarify all 3 of us would be in a relationship together. To me thats it makes perfect sense. Why have 1 loving partner when you can have 2? I can understand that people may look strangely at that comment but in my eyes there would be more love and more of all the things someone might enjoy in a 2 way relationship.

I havent got a clue what term you would give to a relationship like this and how to find people looking for the same thing. I'm actually in no relationship at the moment but i've decided that i should look for what i really want now and why shouldnt everyone do what makes them happy.

Does anyone have any advice or guidance for me?

James, welcome to the forum.

What you are looking for - a long-term committed relationship between 3 people sounds very much like a style of polyamory to me that is often known as a "triad". If you use those terms in a search on Google or your own favourite search engine, I'm sure that you will find all sorts of places where this stuff is discussed.

CielDuMatin is right, you are looking for a triad relationship. (It would be an "emotional triad" if the two women had a close friendship but not a romantic relationship.)

On this site, you can check out the "Dating & Friendships" area. Look for the "Forum Jump" menu at the bottom of this page (right hand side), and you can use that to go to the "Dating & Friendships" area. There you might find someone who's looking for something similar to what you want, but don't quote me on that as I haven't tried that part of the forum.

Also, if there are any groups or clubs in your area that line up with some of your interests. Sometimes the people you meet might not know about poly, but that doesn't mean they won't be willing to consider it. Especially helpful might be:
