My name is Jacob and I'm happily married to my best friend, best lover, and partner. We are in an open marriage, but so far it has been pretty one sided. We are living in a new area and between my work life and home life, I have a hard time meeting people - let alone women who would be interested in a married man. My wife doesn't seem to have quite as much trouble. Heh. So I guess mostly I'm just looking for an outlet for my feelings about that and if I get some good advice or meet some cool people along the way, all the better. Thanks for letting me share!

You may be able to find a local poly group near you by googling "polyamory" with the name of your state or nearest major city.

Even if it's not an "alternative" type group, if there's a club or something in your area that does something you're interested in, you can always join that group and it just gives you a way to get out there and meet people. If you meet someone on a platonic level and get to talking about poly, then they can decide how they feel about it without any "pressure to agree." Then if they do decide poly doesn't bother them too much, and some kind of romantic connection subsequently develops, you'll already have "had the poly conversation" with them.

It's definitely harder for men than women (in most cases) to find people to date in a poly configuration. That's why I listed so many things, I figured you could use all the help you could get. At the end of the day, after you've looked in every way possible, you'll probably have to exercise a great deal of patience. Your search probably won't be quick or easy.
