Hello my name is Don.

I am not new to the poly scene. I had been in one that ended badly. It ended in my divorce. I came to the conclusion that she was using this lifestyle as a cover for her exit. She could have just told me that she wanted one and I may have agreed since it was rough after the first few years. I had considered to stay away from the poly community, but recently decided that I cannot blame the community for one person's actions. I do have 3 kids (2 bio) that are out of state, but I am taking care of them from a distance. So I am back as a solo poly for the time being. I may decide to not stay solo down the road, but for now that is what I am looking at. I am a big touch centric person. I also like to cook and bake (to include BBQ). I also like to just sit an chill with loved ones to watch movies. I am also adventurous with life. I am working full time and currently have Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, with the occasional Mondays as well. If you want to sit and have coffee or go out for a drink, I will be open for making new friends starting August 29th. I need time to get used to my new work schedule.

Thank you. Finding info on Poly groups in my area has been difficult. I am glad I came across this forum. I hope to start meeting people of like mindedness in my area soon.

I applaud you for not letting bitterness get to you after your rough experience with poly. Hopefully Polyamory.com will be a welcome change in that area, you will find like-minded people here and can make quite a few friends. If you have any questions or concerns, let us know. We'll try to help.
