The pastor is NOT going to "reason with her," kdt. The pastor is the authoritative voice of God's Word, and is going to lay down the law. Don't commit adultery. Honor and obey your husband. Keep yourself only unto him (or another man he chooses for you, so he can watch!).
Travelingcouple (ironic name) did not tell his pastor he used to pimp his wife out to other men for his own pleasure, nor admit the wife didn't like it but did it anyway to please (or KEEP) her man. Women in our culture, sadly, even in this day and age, do humiliating things against their will such as this (or swinging, fucking unattractive men so their husband can watch, or fucking women when they are straight) especially if they are raising children, and would take a HUGE hit in their finances were they to leave. Women with young children are so vulnerable. It sucks how our society is set up.
The wife has probably had years, if not decades, of resentment building up, living with her husband who suffers from apparently untreatable erectile dysfunction, sinking, for any sexual release, to sex with men she wasn't attracted to, and not allowed to form an emotional bond with, with no privacy, with her husband watching from the corner, agreeing to "rules" that did not benefit her.
Meanwhile she is going to church with him on Sundays, to hear more authoritative words from the pulpit on how she is a second class citizen stuck in this cage of male authority.
