my husband and i met a lovely lady yesterday, she never heard of poly and what it was about until we told her. i was a little nervous she wouldnt accept. but she is very excited and willing to give it a try. we talked about everything she is looking for and what we are looking for and its going well getting to know eachother. i told her about my friends who want to start our very own poly community and she thinks thats awesome. i really want to make it the best experience for her, even if we decide to stay as friends or if it turns into a romantic relationship. any suggestions?

Depends on what you mean by "give it a try." Polyamory does not necessarily mean FMF threesome sex, or large poly tribes where everyone is romantically or sexually involved with everyone else.

If that is your requirement for your idea of poly, be prepared to have others disagree or not be able to go there. Especially after NRE wears off. Reality has a way of trumping ideals.
