New/Nervous/Confused

Good Morning,

I am married and we recently decided that we were going to explore more of what life has to offer. This was originally my husband's decision based on the amount of travel that he does for work. I have read a lot, we have discussed a lot and I am learning everything I can about the lifestyle. Any advice is appreciated!

I to am relatively new.

I would suggest that you and your hubby sit down and really talk about what each of you wants from your polyamorous relationship. Develop a list of expectations each of you has of the other when meeting with someone...i.e. obviously safe sex, no sex with a new person without your hubby/wife meeting that new person.

I'm only guessing but I don't get the feeling that communcation is an issue if he is suggesting poly and you are already checking it out. But humor me when I say communication is huge in any relationship ecspecially a poly or triad relationship.

Respect is paramount to making all things work. If you get into a situation and don't feel comfortable or safe, respect yourself enough to remove yourself from the situation.

Welcome to our forum.

You have some good advice from jenzen. Take your time and don't rush into anything; continue communicating lots and lots. A lot of this is stuff you're already doing. If you run into a particular snag, or a relationship with some kind of puzzling problem, let us know. Any questions you have, just post and we'll do our best to answer.
