New to Poly and the Forum

Hello,

I've been lurking here since March of this year, and finally decided to come out of hiding. My husband and I agreed to explore polyamory when I came out to him about my interest in it this spring. I've been suppressing this desire for about 18 years, because I had no access to poly resources (I thought), and was concerned about the things I'd heard from people who had been burned through (presumably poor) poly practices. I started researching, and found lots of solid information that reassured me that this can be, and is often, done well.

We've been married for 10 years, together for 12, and have been friends for 13. We share in creative projects together, and my husband is my best friend.

This board has been a great resource for me. It's both encouraging and educational. I'm looking forward to interacting more here, and continuing to lurk. Thank you to the many awesome contributors and mods who keep this site working smoothly!

Greetings DiegoRat,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Glad to hear that you are feeling optimistic about poly, and that this site has been a help to you so far. You're right, poly can be and often is done well. We even have a thread for that, Poly Vignettes: Sharing Success & Happiness.

It's good to have you with us!
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!
