Hi all, joined here mostly to research and try to get my head around what has come up recently between me and my partner. We've been together 8 years in a monogamous relationship and have a child together. I'm Bisexual, but the idea was brought up by him. I'm his first partner, and it started out as an idea to maybe have a threesome together but he also likes the idea of bringing another female into the relationship too after realising he had feelings for a female friend (the feelings are not reciprocated however). I'm not sure about it but I'm not completely closed to the idea either. I feel like I should be enough for him, but I'm trying to get my head around it so that we can discuss it properly. I don't believe splitting up is the answer either.


Anyway yeah! Thats it in a nutshell. Obviously this needs to be handled sensitively so any ideas are appreicated. Thanks xx

I hope you are able to wrap your mind around polyamory, and I hope we can help. Humans have the potential to fall in love with multiple people, even if one partner is enough. I know how confusing that must sound, but it's true. We aren't a monogamous species, it turns out.

Thank you, there is a lot to think about :) I'm glad I have found this forum to explore it further. The articles were very useful :)
