Like you, my bf and I had the delusional idea that we could meet a girl who'd be into both of us too, so we could have a triad. That lasted for a couple months, til it didn't seem realistic anymore. Then we decided we'd be ok with an MF couple or a FF couple. (He's not bi, but I am.) So yeah, a common story, I hear.
