Not the response I expected

Recently I opened up to a long time friend about being poly. She has always known that I am bi (so is she). She has met my girlfriend a few times when Shelby is here visiting. I just felt like she knew something was going on but was too polite to ask about it.

So I tell her. And she says "it's cool. I totally understand. Me and my husband used to share a girlfriend."

Wow. Just wow.
