Hi all,
I found this book on a Reddit thread within /r/personalfinance, but it seemed to be a good resource, and applicable to a number of threads that are currently active (the moving in one, the poly-friendly laws one, the divorce one, etc.).

Basically, it's a legal guide to choosing and filing the right paperwork for giving your relationship(s) rights under the law without having to be married. While it's not written with Poly relationships in mind, it looks like many of the items it discusses would be applicable.
One thing in the description of the book jumped out at me, under the "Included Forms" section:
Anyone worried about "Common Law" regulations by state should probably look into this, if they don't want to slip into a de facto Common Law marriage.
Anyhoo... if anyone's had experience with this book, please pop in. We found some copies on Ebay for $4 each, so we've purchased them but haven't gone through them in detail yet. I'll update the thread with what we find.
