I searched this government database for biomedical papers about polyamory and got this result
Research on the subject took off in 2014 and is growing. I see two big themes
(1) Therapists and social workers need to be culturally sensitive to poly people. Therapists who would "understand" insane jealous behavior are baffled if you have such a secure attachment that you're not jealous but actually share the joy of your partner loving another person.
(2) Poly people are boring. That is, poly people are similarly satisfied with love and relationships as mono persons. There is no sign that poly is a dangerous lifestyle or associated with terrible problems more than a mono lifestyle.
