Moving to a new life

Young people are so pretty, but just too much unnecessary work... or maybe I just got old.

Young adults have a vastly different perspective on life than folks who have been around for five, six, seven decades. It's like dating someone from a different culture: certainly can be done, but there is so much that must be explained and translated both ways.

I agree. It is unfair of me to lump every age of humans together. I don't think that my issue was with her age, per say, it was more like she was unwilling to hear me out or unwilling to except reality. This is not all young people, this was unique to her and her life. Everything is taken care of for her. If she wants to paint her bedroom in a shared apartment, she will paint her bedroom, even if the lease states that is not allowed. Or telling me that I was wrong to say that there is a limit to how many cars each apartment can have per our lease. I have met a few people like her, and it doesn't matter how old they get, they never learn until they are no longer fully supported by their parents, or boyfriend, or husband, or anyone else. It is the unwillingness to accept how things really are. When that reality is smashed, most people can't handle it, that is why when she finally experienced what life would be like with us, she ran away. She thought she could share, but she couldn't, so she took the easiest way out. Ignore him and she surrounded herself with pretty new people who shower her with praise.... if that praise stops, and if she wants my husband to take care of her again, then she might return, but I am very doubtful that is going to happen.

I hope it doesn't happen!
