It's always amazing to me the amount of douchebaggery and bullshit people are willing to put up with in the name of staying married. Staying married to an asshole is no bed of roses, though! It's just the thorns!

Hon, please stop letting yourself be a doormat for your husband to wipe his shoes on. You don't owe him anything after the way he's treated you. Ultimatums have no place in loving relationships. None, ever - whether poly or mono.

You need to get out, get help, and find healthy people to surround yourself with. This is pure foolishness you've been accepting.

We teach everyone how to interact with us and if you're driven by a great fear of being alone, you're teaching everyone around you that it's fine to not listen, not cooperate, not be a loving friend, cross (flimsy) boundaries and keep everything in limbo. Whenever you're blaming other people's bad behavior for the mess you're in, that's a clear signal to look at the game plan that you yourself have created for others to follow. It's all your responsibility and it's all within your ability to change. Our lives are never depenedent on what other people just happen to dish out.
