Good Mornin' America, how are ya?

Vaughn here, relatively newish to polyamory compared to others. Have had the feeling since high school (mid 80s) but only officially identified it as such two years ago.

Am the point/hinge of a V configuration. Will add my partners' data in my signature later as I see other people doing that on here.

I'm also an assistant coordinator of events for our local poly community. Would love to speak to others in similar positions and pick your brains (mmm...brains!) about what has been successful and, more importantly, what HASN'T been successful and why you feel that way.

Please feel free to add me as a friend. I don't bite without express verbal consent.

Welcome!

I just wanted to let you know this isn't mandatory ;) and not everyone does it. Some just find it easier so they don't have to explain sometimes complex relationships with people they talk about all the time, or if they have a blog, etc.

@nycindie, I understand...perhaps I was dating myself a bit when I chose to quote a song lyric as my subject line. Certainly didn't intentionally mean to exclude the rest of the world.

You could pretend you are a post modern retro kind of guy who likes old music? (I got your reference and have been humming the song since yesterday)

Oh yes, I've been hearing the song in my head ever since I first saw the title of your thread in the index! Just couldn't resist speaking up for our many, many non-USA members (and yes, Canada is in No. America, & we've got members in So. America, but the song is about USA). Thanks for taking a little ribbing, VS!

Greetings Vaughn,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

I looked at your thread on discussion group topics and added a little there. Hopefully that helps; I suppose some of it depends on how good of participants you have.

Have you been in your V configuration for very long? I am just curious.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

(From a Judy Collins fan in Europe [and, yes, I know that Steve Goodman wrote it, and Arlo Guthrie et al have sung it, but I heard it first from Judy]): Great song! I play it on the harmonica. Great for the train whistle... and the chuff chuff chuff.

re: your OP, here's a thread that might interest you... :p

BTW, I like your monicker!

Hi Kevin,

The "exact" amount of time is hard to say, but if we go by when my paramours met, I think it will be 18 months toward the end of next month.

Okay, cool.
