Hi Everyone

Abbie

New member
I have been reading for a while and finally joined last month, thought I should say hi.

I am Abbie in Mid MI. I am married to J, and we have two daughters together. I was in a long term relationship with my girlfriend M prior to having kids, and just exited a long term relationship with boyfriend T.

J is also poly and has had various relationships throughout the last couple years.

There are not many people who accept my "lifestyle" in my area and it is nice to find this community to know I am not alone.

Greetings Abbie,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

From what I can tell, Michigan is rather sparse about having organized poly communities, I think it has one but you might have to do a lot of driving to get to it.

I'm glad you found Polyamory.com, you will be able to find a lot of support here from many like-minded individuals.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Abbie,

You're absolutely not alone. I feel mainstream society has drilled the concept of monogamy into out heads since birth, and while there's nothing wrong with monogamy, it's not something everyone identifies with -- unfortunately there aren't as many support communities for polyamory as there are for monogamy. This forum is a great start, and welcome aboard!
