Change a Letter Game

So - always good to review the rules of the game now and then.

Here is the original post that initiated the game:

So basically, the game goes like this... We'll start with a word and then the next person posts a word that's one letter different, either by changing a letter, subtracting or adding a letter or is scrambled to be a different word....

For example.... Let's start with the word...

home
dome
mode
made
mad
lad
lady

Get it?


Additionally - a few months ago, the current participants made a slight amendment to the rules in order to help keep the game moving along and not get bogged down - which was -

You can also use a combination of the two options listed above - that is you can add/delete/change one letter AND rearrange letters at the same time.

For example -

Mote > Item ("o" changed to "i" - and then letters rearranged)
