PNW - Greetings!

Hi, my wife and I left Seattle after 18 years, to start a new adventure in N. Idaho. She was a lawyer, and I'm a programmer, so we decided to try working with our hands for a while, and learn new skills.

So, after a long hunt for good raw land, we ended up on 10 acres, where we then learned how to build our own home. Electrical, plumbing, construction, water, you name it. Except drywall, because drywall sucks.

We're on grid, since we have two young kids, but otherwise, things are pretty homesteady. Fruit trees, chickens, two dogs, and ample deer, turkeys and coyotes around. With Starlink internet, I can still work remotely doing coding for a Seattle company.

Looking forward to meeting new friends!

Greetings wildsky,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Wow, you guys are mighty ambitious! My little V (three people, a dog, and a cat) lived about an hour away from Seattle for about eight years, then moved a few months ago, to Albuquerque, into a condo. I am not handy at all. I'm glad you could join us on Polyamory.com, I hope you enjoy your stay here.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Hey Wildsky,

You're story sounds so familiar. We were both in IT, and moved away from Vancouver, BC to do the same sort of homesteady stuff.
We still have cell internet, but have been waiting to hear more reviews on what Starlink is like.

Anyways, welcome! :)
