We Need You! Participant Recruitment for CNM Research (with incentives)

Hi all! My name is Min. I am 30 years old and am studying psychology at the University of Edinburgh. My classmates and I are currently working on a project aiming to explore romantic relationship satisfaction and attachment dimensions in polyamory or other forms of non-monogamy. We've received more than 200 questionnaires, but only 26 of them are from non-monogamous adults! To be honest, when I saw the result today, I felt a bit lonely or even helpless🥺 More attention should be paid to CNM, but it is challenging for researchers to collect a large amount of data from adults in CNM relationships. CNM research is a long journey.

Why not start with a small step~
Here is the link to the survey: https://edinburgh.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_895zhvndwImtp2e

The open-ended questions are optional, so you can skip them if you don't have much time. It normally takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete the survey. We will choose to enter a draw for one of four $10 Amazon vouchers. Please leave your email address at the end of the survey so we can send the voucher to you if you win.

When the project finishes, I'm glad to share our findings here. For example, some people think polyamorous people are more likely to have secure attachment because polygamy requires more trust between partners. Is that true?

If you have any questions or feedback (including complaints about the survey), please let me know!

Best wishes,
Min

Hello Min,

I have done your survey, it wasn't hard to do although I'll mention that I only have one partner, while that partner has two partners (me and one other guy). If I took the survey and had multiple partners myself, I'd have to choose one of those partners to pertain to the survey for me. That said, you are doing valuable research in an important field. I am hopeful that some of the members here will be willing to participate.

Sincerely,
Kevin T.

I completed the survey! I've been going over attachment styles with my therapist. My husband is secure, I'm anxious-avoidant, and his other wife is avoidant. It sure makes it interesting around here!

Hi Natse, thanks for your participation! We really appreciate your insights and valuable time! As you said, attachment styles or dimensions are a fascinating topic. Also, we tend to show different attachment patterns towards different partners. In this sense, your husband might respond to your needs and to the needs of his other wife in different ways:giggle:
