Best Poly Memoir Ever?

So many polyamory memoirs are about just the first year— the drama and jealousy of opening up, the mistakes and heartbreak that come from trying to break out of the monogamous model. This new memoir has some of that, but it really focuses on the good stuff that comes AFTER all that! The life we dream of, that causes us to want to go through all the tough early struggles. Entwined: Essays on Polyamory and Creating Home is available Feb 2024 in paperback or audiobook, but if you preorder through Kickstarter, you’ll be helping get more poly stories into the world (Quilted Press is a new publishing collective that is like the “poly version” of traditional publishing). quiltedpress.com/kickstarter

I can't speak for the rest of the people on this board, but I'd be a lot more interested in this book if you actually participated in the community, instead of just posting links to the book. It's more than a bit spammy.

I’m sorry to come across that way. I’m just excited about it, and I guess I didn’t realize that I was overdoing it. I just went back and reviewed my activity, because your message gave me a shock of embarrassment. I posted about the book twice across 14 days, posted about an upcoming event once (that is a reading, so I guess that kinda counts), and responded to a question/comment with links to articles on HuffPost, etc. As far as participating, I read a lot of people’s posts on here, but I don’t feel like I’m qualified to weigh in on people’s relationship troubles and such. So I feel like my biggest contribution to the poly community is telling them about this book (and an opportunity for NYC poly folks to get together in a couple of weeks). I’m being sincere when I say that I myself needed something like it for years. But I certainly don’t want to be seen as trying to take advantage of this amazing resource (polyamory.com), so I won’t post about it anymore.

I would read it, if I was more of a book reader. I have a huge backlog of books I need/want to read, and to say I am moving through them at a crawl would be an understatement. No room for anything extra, sorry. It does sound like a good book.
