I know there is probably a thread or few around here somewhere about books but I just can't seem to find one tonight. I am looking to get a book or two on Polyamory and would love some suggestions on what the best ones are! Thanks In Advance :D

Book and Website Recommendations

And here's a few specific books that I've oft heard recommended:

  • "Opening Up: a guide to creating and sustaining open relationships," by Tristan Taormino.
  • "The Ethical Slut: a practical guide to polyamory, open relationships and other adventures," by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy.
  • "Sex at Dawn: how we mate, why we stray, and what it means for modern relationships," by Christopher Ryan and Cacilda Jethá.
  • "Polyamory: the new love without limits," by Deborah Anapol.
  • "The Polyamorists Next Door: inside multiple-partner relationships and families," by Elisabeth Sheff.
  • "Polyamory: roadmaps for the clueless and hopeful," by Anthony Ravenscroft.
  • "The Monogamy Myth: a personal handbook for recovering from affairs," by Peggy Vaughan.
  • "Open: love, sex, and life in an open marriage," by Jenny Block.
I've read "Opening Up," "The Ethical Slut," "Sex at Dawn," and "Love without Limits." I know for sure that those four books are worth reading, or at least that they were worth my while.

Complete book list, with descriptions

You ask a question, you get an answer. Here is my list of all 37 nonfiction books about polyamory published in English in a print edition. With descriptions:

My all-purpose recommendations there are flagged with green dots.

Not yet on the list, but set to officially publish September 2, is Franklin Veaux and Eve Rickert's *More Than Two*, which will definitely get a green dot. (I edited it.)
