Hello! Let's start with the basics. I'm 46 but I'm a May baby so I'll be adding another year to that soon. I'm 3 years divorced. I was with my ex for 20 years. We have 2 beautiful daughters that are grown and on their own. My profession is nursing. I'm a LPN and I'm heading towards furthering my career with more education.
Although I've heard of Polymory I've only recently realized that this type of relationship would be ideal for me. I have been in a modified poly relationship for a while but I'll explain that more if we become friends.
I'm interested in hearing other individuals stories and how this type of relationship benefits all that are involved.

Hi reece, and welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new here as well. There's plenty here to see and learn. Hope to see ya 'round the place. Have fun :D!

Greetings reece2014,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Thanks for your intro, it gives good starter info on where you're at and how you got there.

I recommend two links:

Those two above links will give you a good start to your exploration of the many poly insights that Polyamory.com provides.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask; I'll be following this thread so you can always ping me.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks for the welcome! I'm excited to hear the stories everyone posts. I'm new to this idea but am learning that it is exactly the type of relationship I'm looking for. I like the idea of having a couple to share my life with but yet not having to be the only one to share duties. How refreshing that would be!

Polyamory has many plusses. :)

Yeah, the site takes a bit of getting used to. Lots of technical tips and tricks, many of which you'll learn as you go along but I like a lot of particularly handy features the site has. I can probably answer a few of your technical questions if you'd like, and whatever I can't answer, the mods and admins probably can.

Explore and enjoy! ;)

How true :p! This is actually one of the top benefits from my perspective.
As they say "Many hands make light work".
We have a small farm and as much as I hate to admit it, I'm not getting any younger, lol .
There is so much to do here and so much more we would love to do with the place to make our lifestyle more self-sufficient. I have a hard time keeping up as it is. Wouldn't it be awesome to have an extra helping hand in addition to the many other wonderful benefits? Me thinks it would!!!
