Hello, everyone!

I'm not great at introductions, especially my own, but I hope I get to meet nice people here.

A bit about me: I'm almost thirty. I live in Dundee, Scotland. I have a Masters degree. I'm a vegetarian crafts enthusiast who lives with a hedgehog. I'm not currently in any relationships, but I would like to be. I identify as genderfluid, and my preferred pronouns are they/them/their.

I've been involved quietly in polyamory for about five years or so, but have so far had disappointing experiences with people getting it very wrong. I am hoping that coming here will address that.

Hedgehogs are the best!! :)

Welcome! And what an interesting username....

Greetings Kittendumpling,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

"And behold, Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these." ;)

I hope we will be able to help improve your poly experience. I am impressed with the degree that you got. What did you major in?

Have a look at our various threads and boards, and let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Thank you! It's inspired by a Beatrix Potter story.

I did a joint Masters degree in English Literature and Film Studies.

Hey - how are you? I'm in central Scotland so not all that far from you.

Hope you find some friends and good experiences here.

While I find myself capable of loving more than one and of developing crushes on new people, I choose to have monogamous romantic relationships. I spent years happily single and developed a full and interesting life. For me, the logistics and work involved in me or my partner having other romantic loves makes doing poly while I'm in a relationship unattractive to me.

I read this board because there are loads of lovely people here.

I hope you have a fun time welcoming the new year tonight.

Thank you, I have done!

I have been in mono relationships almost all my life, so I get where you're coming from. Being openly and steadfastly poly has always felt like a lot of extra work, and it narrows the dating pool significantly.
