Greetings!

My name is Chris, but my friends and family - well, everyone, really - call me Pookie. I answer to either.

I'm a bisexual male married to an amazing bisexual female. We have been together for 8 years and have chosen to explore a consentually non-monogamous/polyamorous relationship.

So I've come here to learn. To try and be a part of this community. I'm here to learn what my ignorances about this lifestyle are, meet people who are comfortable and familiar with it for anecdotal tales, wisdom and advice and friendship.

I'd like to mix in so that I can feel normal - like my emotional and sexual desires aren't ridiculous.

I'd like to meet others near me who are open to this sort of dating arrangement.

Most of all, I'd like to learn how to do this whole thing right and, more importantly, how NOT to do it because, at the end of the day, my marriage is my priority and I don't want to do anything that puts in in jeopardy.

I've got high expectations, I know.

Anyway, I'm here to meet people and make pals. And I love deep chat with interesting people so please say hi!

Be Well,
Chris

Greetings Pookie,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You've come to the right place for fitting in and feeling normal as a poly; you'll find many like-minded individuals here and can make many friends. Have a look around and explore our various boards and threads; any advice you need, or questions you may have, just let us know. A couple of books/links that might be helpful:

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome! I'm somewhat new myself, and I've found these boards to be very educational (and friendly).

Like Kevin said, the Golden Nuggets are a fabulous place to start. I've also been learning a lot simply by doing searches for various keywords and reading through the threads that discussed them.

There's a lot of wisdom here!
