Group date ideas?

So I have my girlfriend, and my boyfriend, and I am friends with his wife. My girlfriend and my boyfriend's wife also like each other and are involved on a more casual basis. My boyfriend and my girlfriend don't actually know each other that well but we'd like to change that. I believe in my partners knowing each other :)

So we came up with the idea that it would be fun to have a group date so that we can all hang out, have fun and they can get to know each other better.

So what's some fun dates that you guys can think of that would be good for intermingling and changing up who's sitting next to who and that kind of thing.

Since you all are going to need a space where everyone can chat and socialize....why not have a BBQ at one of your homes? Or pool party, Wii game night, wine & board game night, etc. This way you all are together having fun, getting to know each other, and can be as open as you want.

Or if you want more of a get-out-of-the-house get together....how about a concert in the park? Or maybe a group cooking class? Date night at your local pottery/art studio? Places where you all will still be able to talk, casually
interact, and have fun while getting to know each other.

Just some suggestions. Hope I helped!

I like the idea of group dates centered on activities, so there is something else to focus on besides awkward lulls in the conversation.

Bowling, playing pool, going to an art fair or museum, hiking, etc. Movies - no room for conversation and static seating. Restaurant - too much room for conversation and static seating.

not sure about your part of the country but ice skating

Renee, Mark, and boys and I all went Sunday evening not really the most romantic setting with the boys but we did get sometime alone...

Just a thought..

Karaoke. Dinner & theater. Ice skating.

Dave and Busters. Bowling.
