Hello everyone,

My name is Julien and I'm a french speaking Canadian from Montreal. I'm a 25 years old gay non-binary and rather new to polyamory. I have been in a triad before, but I left the relationship realizing I was not comfortable with it (I was a unicorn, although I did not know the term existed at the time). I am currently in a relationship with a guy and we are both determined to become comfortable with ethical polyamory, even if it's quite difficult at times. I am also living with anxiety, which is something I find hard to manage with polyamory right now.

I come to this forum to find guidance, support and enlightenment about polyamory.

Cheers! :)

Welcome here! :)

Even if nonmonogamy is wildly attractive to you, there is no need to rush. Think, talk, read, ruminate -- be patient. Learn from the experience of others. Should opportunities occur in future, you will then be well-equipped to approach them calmly & sanely.

Greetings Julien135,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Sorry to hear your triad experience didn't work out, I hope you and the guy you're with now can become comfortable with polyamory, and that Polyamory.com can help. Have a look around at our various threads and see what calls to you, and post your thoughts, feelings, questions, and concerns. We'll try to help.

Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Julien135 - and welcome to the Forum! We have a lot of very experienced poly folks on the forum who are generally friendly and helpful - so don't hesitate to post specific questions to the Poly Relationships Corner or General Poly Discussion section. You are certain to get some good responses. But I will leave the advice to the more experienced and just wish you luck on your poly journey! Al
