Hello from a 39 year old male in Oklahoma. I signed up because there is so much useful information on this site. I’ve been involved in other forms of non-monogamy but ultimately found it unfulfilling. I have not been in a poly relationship but from what I understand so far I feel this is something I want to pursue. I look forward to joining the conversation.

Polyamory is certainly different from other forms of non-monogamy, it involves much more emotional content (and often more commitment as well).
