Thought I'd say a quick hello to everyone :)

The Mr and I are pretty new to this type of thing. I'm not really sure I'd say we're "poly", but we do have an open relationship.

I'll admit I laughed my butt off reading about all the unicorn comments on this site. I'd have to say 3/4 of the couples we've talked to are looking for just that, and I'm happy to know that I'm not the only one who sometimes finds it a bit annoying, lol

Hello and welcome!

Enjoy your reading and time here.

I view "open" and "poly" as degrees along the "ethical non-monogamy" spectrum. However you do (or don't) label yourselves, I hope you find points of interest here as you proceed upon your personal journey.

Greetings LeighW,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

Yeah adding a "not-very-important HBB to an all-important married couple" seems to be *the* definition of poly nowadays. People have no clue how many shades and configurations of poly can and do exist. While the "add a third" model isn't necessarily doomed to failure, we've seen a lot of cases here where fail it did. It certainly doesn't bode will if the "third" person is objectified as an "extra ingredient to spice up our marriage."

I hope you enjoy your time on our site and find both questions and answers.
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)
