Hello from the West Midlands

Hi everyone,

I'm new here so thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm 39, male, hetero, and finally embracing poly as the way I do relationships. I have recently (a few months ago) embarked on an open relationship, as well as recommencing a longer term fwb/it's complicated situation with someone who has just returned from a year abroad. All has been good, but in a few weeks' time I'll be moving to the West Midlands from London, which will obviously throw things up in the air a bit. Although I'm really looking forward to the move, I'm very aware that I am leaving my support network behind.

So ... after a bit of lurking on here I thought I'd see whether this might be somewhere I can find some poly-friendly community.

Anyway, I look forward to chatting. :)

Greetings Platospenpal,
Welcome to our forum. Please feel free to lurk, browse, etc.

You'll find quite a bit of like-minded company here, and make a few friends along the way. It sounds like you are already getting started on your own poly adventure. I take it you have two partners right now? Will either of them move with you, or will those become long-distance relationships?

In any case you're welcome here.
Sincerely,
Kevin T., "official greeter" :)

Notes:

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Please read through the guidelines if you haven't already.

Note: You needn't read every reply to your posts, especially if someone posts in a disagreeable way. Given the size and scope of the site it's hard not to run into the occasional disagreeable person. Please contact the mods if you do (or if you see any spam), and you can block the person if you want.

If you have any questions about the board itself, please private-message a mod and they'll do their best to help.

Welcome aboard!

Hi Kevin,

Thanks for the message.

Yes, I have two partners at the moment, although neither will be moving with me. Both are precious to me, but they each have their own lives and priorities (as I have mine) and I respect that. So both will probably turn into long distance relationships. This opens up a few questions for me, which I'll drop into Relationship Corner when I get a moment.

All of which means that I'm open to new possibilities and support networks in my new home. So if there are any West Mids people out there, please do get in touch..!.

Anyway, many thanks for the welcome. It really is appreciated.

No problem, glad to have you with us.

In case it helps, here's a couple of threads where you can look for people in your area.

And I'll watch for your upcoming post/s in Relationship Corner.

Sincerely,
Kevin T.

Okay, I'll check that out.
