hi! call me cooper; i'm from around the atlanta area. i'm not new to poly, per se -- i've been in a functioning v for coming up on five years. that anniversary's in april!

i'm a 25m, and my partners are m, a 25m and a, a 21m. i've never referred to them as primaries or secondaries -- i recognize the functionality of using those terms, but they always felt awkward to me, but i live with one, m (25m), and the other, a (21m) is long distance, currently going to school in the philly area. i own a darling cat, and spend too much time talking about star wars. i'm a psych major pursuing my bachelor's at the moment, and still trying to figure out exactly what i want to do after.

i've never been very involved in other poly communities, not for lack of desire, but because i was unsure of where to start; i guess this is as good a place as any! while i've been in a functioning poly relationship for some years, i still consider myself pretty new to the practice as a whole, and i'm still tripping up and making newbie mistakes as i navigate my way through this, so i'm hoping to learn some things while i'm here for the sake of being a better partner and hinge, and also to maybe make a few friends along the way.

so...here i am! hello everyone! i'm looking forward to being here!

- cooper. x

Hey! Welcome Cooper! We have all levels of experience here so feel free to jump right in. If you take time to search through topics (I reccommend Advanced search) you will find many years' worth of experience to draw from.

hi leetah! thank you for the welcome!

i really appreciate the direction; i've been trying to skim through some of the more popular threads to make sure i don't ask anything too similar to something that's already been brought up. it's so refreshing to see so many like-minded people! x

There's a *lot* of good info in Golden Nuggets. Have a look!

Hi Cooper - and welcome to the Forum. As I just wrote another welcome - We do have a nice poly community here - with a good number of experienced poly folks. So, please don't hesitate to jump right in with any thoughts or questions that you may have - the General Poly Discussion and Poly Relationships Corner sections are both quite active.

And as Leetah pointed out - there are over a quarter million archived posts here spanning almost ten years of poly experience - so do take advantage of the search functions.

Best of luck on your journey - and may the Force be with you! Al
