I am a 40 yr old straight African American woman with no children. I am currently not in a relationship of any kind. I am new to the poly lifestyle and I am trying to determine if it’s for me. I prefer to date interracially, mostly white men. I have done so for the last 24yrs.

I am interested in forming a triad with two men. I’m open to starting with one man and finding our third or entering into an established relationship between two men that are looking for a woman. I’m fine if the men are bisexual or straight. I recently joined a local meetup for alternative lifestyles. I went to a discussion group that they had and I learned a lot from the discussion. I look forward to exploring this new aspect of my life.

How is Albuquerque? :) I'll be travelling there next spring to attend the PowWow there. I'm pretty excited for the visit. It would be great if you could give me some great ideas for local places I can visit while I'm there. :)

Albuquerque is a wonderful place weather-wise, although this Summer has been a little hot for my taste. A lot in the 90's and a little in the 100's. But it's low humidity, and it's nice to get the copious amount of Sun we get.

I'm not personally too good of an expert on places to see, although it's worth pointing out Albuquerque has a generous allotment of good restaurants (and casinos). I know there are various Native American sights to see. We also have a pretty impressive tram that takes you to the top of Sandia Crest (over 10,000 feet elevation). There's a restaurant at the top; it's kind of fun to look down on the city while dining.

New Mexico has various interesting sites, such as the Very Large Array near Socorro, and Carlsbad Caverns far to the south in the state. I imagine you'll not get that far out of the way, though.

Ironically, I'll probably be moving away this year or next year. My brother and his wife live near Seattle, we get along with them well. We don't have any family living here with us in New Mexico.

Welcome to the forum! I've been getting support here for about three years! It is so helpful to get feedback form others- some more experienced and some just starting out. We are all so different and there are so many ways to approach the lifestyle!

Sometimes there is a motivation based on an ideal or image of how things might be and that image may be very specific like yours.

I would just suggest that although you may be focused on a specific configuration, just remember that life does not always work out exactly like we expect (especially when other people and emotions are involved).

There may come a point when you are in a happy polyamorous life that looks nothing like what you currently imagine!
