Hi Everyone,
So glad to have stumbled across this forum. I am a 34-year-old poly lesbian. I am, as the title states, currently residing in South Carolina, though I have lived all over the nation, from 2 different areas of New York, including New York City, to several places here in my own state, to 2 different places in California.
I am a writer by both passion and trade. That currently takes the form of liberal political blogging as far as the profession part goes.
I am currently single and living alone, though I've been in and out of poly relationships for roughly 13 years. I view being poly (for me, can't speak for anyone else) as a relationship orientation; I couldn't be in a monogamous relationship anymore than I could be in a heterosexual one. Generally what works for me is either having a primary partner, with each of us having loving, fulfilling relationships with others as well.I also do well in quads where there are two couples and we all date one another.
I've sworn off getting involved with people who are only open as a result of some kind of compatibility issue in a current relationship, thanks to getting burned like that three times in a row (meaning, I was used as a band aid for existing problems in relationships I had nothing to do with).
Anyway, that's where I am at with regards to relationships right now. Hope to learn and grow as a part of what seems to be a wonderful community.
